First Engagement Checklist

Checklist for the client team before formal kickoff—so discovery and Phase 4 are not blocked by missing access or data.

Business & technical preparation

Scope & outcomes

  • Business goals and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) (latency, availability, compliance)
  • Scope in/out (environments, workloads, integrations)
  • Technical contacts, sponsor, and procurement

Cloud & access

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) organization/billing (or plan to create)
  • List of projects, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), existing Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Data residency & regulation (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK), Payment Card Industry (PCI), etc. if applicable)

Security & Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps)

  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tooling (GitLab/GitHub, Snyk, etc.)
  • Cloud posture (Wiz or equivalent)
  • Audit evidence required

Before kickoff

Section titled “Before kickoff”
  1. Initial architecture documents — diagrams, application inventory, dependencies
  2. Environments — dev/staging/prod, Virtual Private Network (VPN)/Interconnect/Partner
  3. Change & incident — your organizational policies
  4. Contract — Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)/Statement of Work (SOW) signed; procurement contact clear
